yesterday was our last official day in mg. =( and the first time everyone around me was singing the school song. the teachers were so sweet... they prepared presents for us again.
i'm not ready to leave! and yet we all know it's for our own good..
i've spent a weird number of 7 years in mg. but no matter, i still love mg as much as all those with a 10-year-history here.
i can still remember by first day in mg... i was really lucky to get into 4.5 based on how i did for the gep exam... most people who come in halfway go straight to point 1 or 2. i still remember how my mum took me up to 4.5... and zabrina was outside waiting for i-can't-remember-who. everyone was real friendly to me. we had 3 different form teachers that year. mary and i were the only ones who changed in the toilet after pe. [i had such a hard time learning how to use the pinnafore as a portable changing room!] and my best friends were lavi and tracy. weird how we've all changed so much...
5.5. valen always called me pauline-the-last... and i called her valen-the-short. haha. i sat next to shiying the whole year.. and i think she hated me a lot that time. cos i was terribly quiet! anyway i begun hanging out with pearlene and rachel a lot. one time there was this moral ed skit we had to do... and rachel and i were so annoyed with each other for a while cos we both refused to play the mother.
6.1. they reversed the whole class system and i ended up there. my mum was so shocked when i told her my class at first. haha. same class as ame that year... she officially invented pau2. sat next to christine lim at the back of the class. we always did math during chinese! hung out more with pearlene tessa chia shawna.
1i. pearlene left for nygh. so i lost my best friend. still, i had tessa chia. but for whatever reason i always went for recess with yan and hui ting. yan and i taught hui ting, fang and ale to play bridge. they were so hooked on it! and chunny and lynette were always so obsessed about getting points for math.
2d. had lots of fun there. became a lot closer to tessa. and deborah lok too. OOH yes the birth of minileaves pte ltd! started off with kaye, lynette, ame, jeanai, mag, vic tay, wan sze, tessa and i. we had to stay back a few times to try and grow pitcher plant seeds in different mediums. but they always got contaminated! mrs lam's ones were the only successful ones. haha. the choir girls were always singing in class. we had a huge kid's castle thingy for family fiesta and earned the 3rd highest amount of money in school.
sec 3. deb and tessa left. i didn't quite like the idea of making closer friends all over again. but now i see God meant it to be that way... so i would mix around more... and get to know so many more people better. 3a1. everyone was extremely quiet in class. a lot of teachers complained we were SPONGES. haha. and we had to endure so many pep talks. fittest class!
sec 4. gold for syf. lots of pb activities. 4a1! the whole class bonded a lot more =). we answered a lot more readily in class and made a lot more noise, especially during math! haha. mrs lim's so cute. but sigh, she called me amelia again yesterday. BITTERSWEET! i love 4a1 a lot. and our teachers too! wouldn't trade for any other class.. the people i'll miss most next year will all be from a1. really. i've never been in another class where everyone, and i mean everyone, is really nice and genuine. i could say so much more... just that i don't have the time.
